CLASSIC | July 29th, 2011 The Review & Pics
On Caribana weekend the Anopenmind Lifestyle Group decided to host a “Classic” event. Do you remember when a party was a “jam”. Good music, good people. Plain and Simple. We achieved just that! The venue was lovely nestled on the west side of downtown Toronto. The staff was pleasant, the event was well attended and everyone had an amazing time. The Djs, Megahertz’s Dj Sedeuce and Dj Unruly Twin kept the crowd moving til’ the wee hours of the morning. Our photographer Christina Mac did a wonderful job of capturing the essence of what I wanted to create.
In short, a good ol’ fashion Jam for those with Anopenmind.

KITCHEN SISTERS
Kitchen Sisters is an innovative concept in dining and a delicious new Toronto event!
Since moving to their new home on Bloor Street, Sistering has experienced a substantial increase in the
number of women who are using the meal service program. This has prompted Sistering to seek funds
for a kitchen renovation to accommodate the large number of meals that are currently begin served.
All proceeds from this event will go towards Sistering’s kitchen renovation project.
Tickets are $500 for a four-course meal with wine pairings, and a limited number at $1000 for the Chef’s VIP table.

Annual Spoken Word Showcase, Sat Jan 15th

When Sisters Speak, North America’s largest annual showcase of Black, female, spoken word artists, makes its return to Toronto 8 pm on Saturday January 15th, 2011 at the St. Lawrence Center for the Arts.
’When Sisters Speak’ brings together Black female artists from across North America. The annual show offers a rare opportunity for the ladies of Spoken Word to share the stage in an uncensored forum of expression.
’When Sisters Speak’ will be produced in Ottawa, Ontario for the first time on Sunday January 16th, 2011. If you have friends out there, spread the word!

It was a beautiful night, consisting of the best clientele, music and venue in the city. Definitely a bday evening to remember.
